I grew up with Bing Crosby and Lin Howard as my Dad, jockey Lester Balaski, rode for Binglin Stables from the 30's well into the 50's... This is a brilliant example of how a painting can stop today in its tracks and take you flying back to yesterday as time simply dissolves in your Art... Dean and all those guys lived in the Grand Stands of Del Mar, Santa Anita, and Hollywood Park... where my best friend when I was 5 yrs old was Jimmy Durante, and my mom's BFF was Betty Grable and Harry James... it was the best of times.. and you capture it so effortlessly!!!

Thank you, Belinda. I knew Jimmy he was in the same Eagles lodge as my father in New Kensington, PA. Also, Dean Martin as he grew up with my Uncle Frank in Steubenville.
